Works with two heat thermostats, one exposed to room temperature and the other sealed.
Under normal conditions, the two thermostats will register similar temperatures, but during a fire, the temperature recorded by the exposed thermostat will increase rapidly, causing a temperature decompensation which causes the alarm.
