UV Flame Detector Series – 40/40U SPECTREX

The new UV flame detector 40/40 detects gas and hydrocarbon fuel fires, invisible hydrogen flames and hydride fires, ammonia, silane and other organic compounds.
The 40/40U-UB is the most durable and weather resistant UV flame detector on the market today.. Its new features include a heated window to eliminate condensation and icing.; HART capabilities, HART capabilities; lower power requirements; and a compact and lighter design.
Due to higher reliability, the warranty period of the series 40/40 has spread to 5 years and is SIL2 approved (TUV) according to IEC 61508.
Model 40/40UB includes a built-in test function (BIT), while the 40/40U model does not.

Note: This type of detector should not be exposed to sources of ultraviolet radiation, like welds, sparks and electrical arcs, as it will cause false alarms.
