General
dcd-1e-is_wht(WHT) is a conventional intrinsically safe thermal detector with a fixed detection temperature of 60°C, designed for use in hazardous areas.
dcd-1e-is_wht.
Heat detectors are typically used in applications where smoke detectors are not suitable or where there is a danger of false alarms from smoke detectors..
Classification of temperature detector
Heat detectors are classified according to the highest ambient temperature in which they can be used safely and without risk of false alarm.
Classes are identified by the letters A to G. In addition to the basic classification, detectors can be identified with a suffix to show that they are thermovelocimetric (suffix R) or fixed temperature (suffix S).
A1R
A1 – Detector Class (Maximum application temperature = 50°C, Static response temperature 54-65°C)
R – temperature response (with the rate of increase)
Classification of dangerous areas
ATEX II 1G
II – team group (non miner)
1 – equipment category (for the Zone 0 O 20)
G – Type of explosive atmosphere (Gas, Vapors and Fog)
Cenelec EEx ia IIC T5 Tamb = 55°C
E – Compliance with European standard
Ex – Explosion protection symbol
ia – protection concept (intrinsically safe)
IIC – Device Group (Gas)
T5 – temperature classification (100°C)
also – Maximum ambient temperature (55°C)
