Overview

The analog multisensor heat detector, smoke and carbon monoxide DTC-6046 is designed to detect a combination of visible smoke, temperature rise and presence of carbon monoxide in the early stages of the fire. The detector is resistant to air movement and air pressure changes. The use of double smoke sensor (IR and UV range) and dual heat sensors ensure high resistance to false alarms caused by water or dust vapors. The DTC-6046 detector is dedicated to operation in addressable detection loops of the fire alarm control panels of POLON systems. 4000 y POLON 6000.

Operating principle

The working principle of smoke detection is based on the Tyndall effect: light is reflected from smoke particles entering the measurement chamber. The light emitted by the transmitting photodiode, after being reflected by smoke particles, is received by the receiving photoelement and causes the change of the photocurrent. The increase in temperature in the vicinity of the detector causes a change in resistance of one or two thermistors. The presence of carbon monoxide is detected by an appropriate sensor. The information from these sensors is subject to advanced analysis by the detector's microprocessor that assesses the level of fire threat..

The two-wire addressable fire detection loop is used for communication between the detector and the control panel. Unique, digital communication protocol allows the following information to be exchanged between the detector and the control panel: amount of smoke, temperature level with its tendency and presence of carbon monoxide.
The microprocessor that controls the detector monitors the operation of the detector's basic circuits and sends the appropriate information to the panel in the event of a fault.

The DTC-6046 is an analog detector with the auto-tuning function that guarantees a constant level of sensitivity during the detector's operating time., even if dirt appears inside the measuring chamber. When the certain level of dirt is exceeded, the detector sends information about the need for maintenance to the control panel.

Any fault, Technical alarm and activation of the internal short circuit isolator is indicated by the yellow flashes of the LED indicators.
The detector can be freely programmed, which offers great flexibility. Possible settings are: interdependent operation of two smoke sensors and heat sensors, independent operation of all sensors, match between at least two sensors, Logical AND between two chosen sensors, etc.
