General
The FF742 is a dual infrared flame detector,mounted in a zinc alloy housing. This detector has an excellent response that gives it high immunity to foreign sources that may interfere with it.. The new technology of its microprocessor allows it to work with different levels of flame intensity and allows it to operate normally in adverse conditions., like through smoke, fumes, dust, etc.. Detector sensitivity can be adjusted, in accordance with the EN54-10 standard.

Reduction of false alarms
Most infrared detectors, respond to light with a wavelength of about 4.3µm, corresponding to the flames of most hydrocarbons. Thanks to your extended response, from between 1,0 and 2.7µm, This detector can respond to most flames even flashing ones. It can even detect flames not visible to the human eye, such as hydrogen. The FF746 detector also responds to wavelengths adjacent to those described, so they can discriminate between real flames and spurious sources of sparks or flashes. The combination of the filters that the detector has and the signal processing that is carried out, make this detector usable without any risk of false alarms in difficult situations, such as due to flashes of sunlight.

Easy installation and maintenance
The detector can be wired with two wires like a conventional system, via 4-20mA current loop or via voltage-free contacts. Can work with or without alarm latch. Self-test utility can be activated remotely. Optionally, an adjustable stainless steel support can be supplied. The detector is vibration tolerant, and the wind does not affect its performance at all. The infrared sensor has an excellent response that even allows you to work through glass or windows. Special test equipment is available for a fine and exact adjustment of this type of detectors.. This test equipment, also allows for functional tests.
