General

ModuLaser is a scalable aspirating smoke detection solution that makes installation easy, faster maintenance and takes applications beyond traditional air sampling detectors. Two types of basic modules comprise the ModuLaser solution: a display module and a detector module. Each detector module can accommodate up to 250 meters of combined sampling pipe. Display modules and detector modules communicate via RS-485 interconnections.

Display modules are available in three configurations: Standard with color TFT display, Status LEDs and navigation buttons, Minimal with only Status and Command LEDs which is similar to Standard but with the added functionality to control multiple modules via SenseNET. The minimum and standard display modules can support up to 8 detector modules, while the command display module can support up to 127 modules throughout the SenetNET network.

Perfect solution

Thanks to advanced features that make it practically impervious to dust and dirt, ModuLaser is ideal for use in harsh environments that would disable other types of smoke detectors. Optical Forward Scatter Detection adds early warning capability without the risk of nuisance alarms normally associated with highly sensitive smoke detection, while exclusive environmental compensation technology adds a high degree of reliability to an already robust detection solution.

Detector module

The detector module is a fully self-contained unit, that draws in the sampled air from the protected area, analyze the air and, based on ClassiFire, determines whether a pre-alarm or alarm should be triggered, if there were smoke particles in the air sampled. . Due to the modular nature of ModuLaser, maintenance (for instance, routine filter replacement) can be done on a module by module, instead of a complete system.
