Ultra-fast triple ir flame detector series – 40 / 40UFI SPECTREX
40 / 40UFI, an ultra-fast multi-spectrum IR3 flame detector, detects hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires over long distances, and is specially designed to detect an explosive gas cloud from 1 pie (0,3 m) diameter in max. 50 milliseconds for an explosion of a mixture of air and methane sphere 1 foot diameter a 20 m (66 pies) with the highest immunity to false alarms.
The 40 / 40UFI IR3 can also detect a fire in a gasoline pan / n-heptane from 1 pie2 (0,1 m2) to until 300 pies (90 m). The 40 / 40UFI is part of the Series 40/40, the most durable and weather resistant range of flame detectors currently on the market. Features include a heated window, to eliminate condensation and icing; HART capability for digital communications; lower power requirements; and a compact and lighter design.
Due to the higher reliability, the warranty period of the series 40/40 has spread to 5 years and is SIL2 approved (TUV) according to IEC 61508.
