Flame detectors are used to detect open flames indoors or outdoors and respond to the light emitted by flames during combustion.
They are especially suitable for smokeless gas or liquid fires not detectable to the naked eye, as well as for fires of carbon-containing materials with high smoke emissions.
Typical application areas are large industrial warehouses, hangars, chemical facilities,oil refineries, engine rooms, ferries and freight ships, power plants, printing plants, lumberyards or underground tunnels.
Explosion-proof equipment is mounted in a housing so strong that an internal explosion could not damage it or be transmitted outside of it..
The surface is kept cool enough not to ignite the explosive mixture. Suitable for Ex areas of the zones 1, 21, 2 Y 22 (ATEX and IECEx certification).
